John J. Micinski

SOUTH BEND - John J. Micinski, 77, of Lombardy Drive, died at 5:02 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Micinski retired in 1984 from Roach-Appleton after 38 years of service. He was born March 16, 1919, in Mishawaka.

On Oct. 26, 1940, in Mishawaka, he married Eleanor D. Wieczorek. She died Dec. 14, 1995. He is survived by a daughter, Monica Bauters of South Bend; four sons, Gregory of Union, Bruce of Branch, Mich., and Jeffery and Timothy, both of South Bend; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Sister Laurita PHJC of Mishawaka. He was a member of Nocturnal Adoration Society of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6, 80th Division of Veterans Association, and was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
