Dorothy Marie Lininger

April 7, 1918 - March 12, 2000

Dorothy Marie Lininger, age 81, of Dayton Street, South Bend, passed away of natural causes in Memorial Hospital on March 12, 2000. Mrs. Lininger was born on April 7, 1918, in Mishawaka, to Marcus and Leota (Lechlitner) Fredericks. On Feb. 5, 1938, she married Frank D. Lininger in Mishawaka. Mr. Lininger preceded Dorothy in death, passing away in October of 1995. Survivors include her son, Jim Lininger and his wife, Loretta, of New Carlisle, Indiana; two daughters, Pat Boehm and her husband, Harold, of South Bend and Carol Geist of Mishawaka; a sister, Kathryn Miller of Osceola, as well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lininger was also preceded in death by her two great-grandsons, Norman Geist III and Nicholis Geist.

 

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2000, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Services will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Lininger was a graduate of Mishawaka High School. She was employed by Uniroyal Corporation for over 17 years, retiring in 1972.
