 Frank L. Lewandowski

July 27, 1899 – August 12, 1988

 Frank L. Lewandowski, 89, of 1010 Johnson Street, died at 3:25am today in Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Lewandowski retired from Lewandowski Upholstery after 50 years of service.

 He was born July 27, 1899, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  On June 12, 1922, in South Bend, he married Mary Szkielka.  She died in 1984.

 He is survived by two daughters, Lucinda Whitfield and Rita Jun, both of South Bend; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Miller and Tillie Kopetski, both of South Bend.

 Services will be at 11am Tuesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4 to 98pm Monday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30pm

 Mr. Lewandowski was a member of St Vincent DePaul Society, the church and was a veteran of World War I.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
