Tomme I. Leniski

SOUTH BEND - Tomme I. Leniski, 86, of South Bend, IN,
passed away at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2008, in Wedgewood
Pines Assisted Living. Tomme was born on April 14, 1921, in
Milledgeville, TN, to R.C. and Jennie (Hollin) Hughes.
Tomme worked as a bookkeeper for the South Bend Tribune and was a
member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Tomme was
preceded in death by her husbands, Maynard Dale and Joseph
Leniski; and is survived by her children, Myrna (George) Schelstraete
of Mishawaka, Phyllis (Edgar) Lewandowski of Valparaiso,
IN, Chad (Suzi) Dale of Iowa, Jolene (Michael) Fairchild
of Lake Forest, CA., Jonnell (Gary) Algie of Mason, OH,
Chris (Brenda) Leniski of Mishawaka and Jason (Suzanna) Leniski
of Seattle, WA; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and
by her sister, Lula (Frank) Rice of Arkansas. The family
would like to send a special thank you to Wedgewood Pines
Assisted Living and to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care
for their services.
There will be no services; cremation will take place. Family will receive visitors in the home of Leah Nagy, the deceased's granddaughter, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26th.
