Mary Jane Lendy,
70, of Shelby OH, formerly of South Bend, died Monday afternoon
in Crestwood Care Center, Shelby. Mrs. Lendy was a retired
bookkeeper for Shelby Mutual Insurance Co.
She was born February
7, 1916, in South Bend. Her husband, Walter R. Lendy, died
in 1968. She is survived by a sister, Catherine Whiteman of
Swainsboro GA; and a brother, George Wittner Jr. of South Bend.
Services will be
at 10:30am Friday in Turner Funeral Home, Shelby. Graveside
services and burial will be at 4pm Friday in Highland Cemetery, South
Bend.
Friends may call
from 7 to 9pm Thursday in the funeral home. She was a
member of Rizpah Chapter 153 Order of Eastern Star, Business and
Professional Women’s Club, and Shelby First Presbyterian
Church.
Memorial
contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or a Shriners
hospital.
