Rosemary Lekarczyk

July 3, 1921 - June 27, 1997

SOUTH BEND - Rosemary Lekarczyk, 75, of Summit Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 5:15 a.m. on Friday, June 27, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend.

She was born on July 3, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was married on Oct. 8, 1959, in South Bend, as Rosemary Simon, to Joseph F. Lekarczyk, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three stepsons, retired Lieutenant Colonel Robert Lekarczyk of Palm Bay, Fla., Larry Lekarczyk of South Bend and retired Major David Lekarczyk of Yorktown, Va.; eight step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Simon of Granger, Ind.; and by two nieces, Rebecca Simon of White Fish Bay, Wis., and Vickie Wallace of Perrysburg, Ohio.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home, with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
