MISHAWAKA - Sister M. Verena Lehmann, OSF, 77, of Our Lady of Angels St. Francis Convent, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday in her residence. Sister M. Verena was born March 4, 1917, in Logansport, Ind., as Dorothea A. Lehmann.

She entered the Order of St. Francis on Feb. 1, 1942; and received her Franciscan habit on Aug. 12, 1942. She was assigned as a typesetter in the print shop at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Lafayette, Ind., from 1944 to 1982. She is survived by two sisters, Theresa Walters of Indianapolis and Frances Walton of Peoria, Ariz.; and a brother, William A. Lehmann of Logansport.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis Convent Chapel. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. A wake will be at 6:45 p.m. Friday in the convent chapel. Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
