SOUTH BEND - Marjorie I. Leets, 89, of South Bend, and formerly of Bourbon and Nappanee, passed away in Fountainview Nursing Home on Tuesday, July 15, 2008. She was born on May 18, 1919, in Bourbon, IN, to Frank and Fairy (Heckaman) Deisch. She married William Norton in 1938. He preceded her in death in 1970. She then married Wilfred Leets. Marjorie was a bookkeeper and performed many secretarial duties. She graduated from Bourbon High School in 1938 and was a member of United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and gardening. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Plute of South Bend; a son, Richard Norton of Grovertown; a brother, Frank Deisch Jr. of South Bend; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, William and Ronald Norton.

Services for Marjorie I. Leets will be at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, July 18, 2008, in the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, with Pastor Bill Garver officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross. The Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.
