12, 1913 - May 2, 2010SOUTH BEND - Susie Carter Lee of South Bend was born October 12, 1913. She was 96 years old and passed away of natural causes on Saturday, May 2, 2010. Susie was born in Tunica, Mississippi, to Henry and Annie Carter. She moved to South Bend in the 1940s where she worked and lived until her death. Susie was an active member of Saint John the Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Gary Lee; granddaughter, Shannel; grandson, Eric; and great-grandson, Marcus, all of the Seattle, WA, area. Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Lee; sister, Essie Johnson; and niece, JacQueline Woods, all of South Bend; and a brother, Jesse of Tunica, MS. A graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery on Wednesday, May 12th, at noon. In lieu of flowers, send donations in Susie Lee's name to Susan G.
