 Mrs. Gertrude Elizabeth Leer, 83, of 1222 Lincoln Way E., was found dead, apparently of natural causes, Sunday in her home by her daughter.
 Born on March 21, 1894, in San Francisco, she lived here most of her life.
 On June 14, 1917, in South Bend, she married Dr. Bertram Raymond Leer, who died in 1951. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Leer Serkes of South Bend; three grandsons, and a great-granddaughter.
 Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverview Mausoleum. Rev. Henry Weber, pastor of St. Paul’s Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. The Hickey Funeral Home is a charge of arrangements. She was a former treasurer of the Civic Planning Association and a member of the Northern Indiana Historical Society.

Leer-Services for Mrs. Gertrude Elizabeth Leer, 83, of 1222 Lincoln Way E., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverview mausoleum. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Hickey Funeral Home. She was found died Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Memorial Unites Methodist Church.
