 Bertram Raymond Leer, 1222 Lincoln Way East, passed away Sunday evening at 7 o’clock in Memorial hospital. He had been in poor health for several years but his condition became critical Thursday. Mr. Leer, only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Delbert C. Leer, well known South Bend residents, was born in South Bend March 7, 1894, and had always resided in the city. He was a member of the First Christian church and had been in the real estate business. Mr. Leer was married June 14, 1922, to Miss Gertrude Birner. Besides his widow he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn E. Serkes and one grandson, Kim Serkes, of this city. Friends will be received in the Orvis funeral home after 7 o’clock this evening and the funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the funeral home with Rev. Frank E. Davison, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating.

 Leer-Pallbearers for Bertram Raymond Leer, 1222 Lincoln Way East, for whom funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today in Orvis funeral home are Dr. H.E. Forster, William Turnock, Ozmun A. Laven, Robert Kronewitter, Gust Ross, and James R. Ducomb. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery.
