Emma Lillian Ledgewood, 85, of McKinley Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, April 19, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born in Waterloo, Ala., on March 13, 1916, and had lived in this area since 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy J. and Hattie (Price) James.

As Emma Lillian James she married Porter W. Ledgewood on Nov. 27, 1932. He died Dec. 16, 1993.

Mrs. Ledgewood is survived by her son, Bill (Olene) Ledgewood of Osceola, Ind.; two grandchildren, Kimberly (Craig) Harris of Goshen, Ind., and Shannon (Helen) Ledgewood of California; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Louise (James) White of Mishawaka.

Friends may cal from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Osceola First General Baptist Church of which she was a member with Rev. Adolph Lacy officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial contributions may be made to the Osceola First General Baptist Church.
