Carl J. LeCount, 73, residing on Oakdale Drive, South Bend, passed away at 8:25 a.m., Thursday, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

 

Carl was a retired truck driver for the former R.J. Cartage Corporation in South Bend. He was born on Oct. 13, 1922, to the late Vern and Rena (Hoover) LeCount, in Elkhart, Ind. He was a lifelong area resident.

 

On Sept. 25, 1952, in Mishawaka, Ind., he married Marceline L. Simpson who preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 1991.

 

Survivors include: three daughters, Norma Nunke and Carla Parsons, both of South Bend and Dawn Holtz of Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Joshua Parsons, Alexander Holtz and Rebecca Holtz.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, at the Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Donald L. Shanks and Rev. Terry A. Tate will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
