Shirley Brook Laskin
   
     Shirley Brook Laskin, 52, of 16900 Colony Drive,  died at 3:45 a.m.
Monday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes. She was a  licensed broker with
Real Estate Scene Inc.  Born June 13, 1932, in  Chicago, Mrs. Laskin had lived in
South Bend for the last 14 years. On Sept. 18,  1954, in Chicago, she married
Roger Laskin, who survives. Also surviving  area  daughter, Melissa A. Laskin
in California; a son, David J. Laskin of  south Bend; a sister, Emily Karp of
Chicago; two bothers, Leonard Brook of  Skokie, Ill., and Marvin Brook of
Orland Park, Ill.; and her mother, Lena Brook  of Chicago.
     Service will be at 1 p.m. today in Temple Beth-el  , and burial will be
in Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery.  Mrs. Laskin was a member  of Hadassah, Temple
Beth-el Sisterhood and Temple Beth-el. Memorial  contributions may be made to
the American Cancer Society. Forest G. Hay Funeral  home, 1201 S. Michigan is in
charge of arrangements.
