SOUTH BEND - Edmund F. Lapham Jr., 75, of Springbrook Drive, died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday in his home. Mr. Lapham retired in 1986 from AlliedSignal, Mishawaka, as plant manager after 40 years of service.

He was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Norwell, Mass., and lived in South Bend since 1954. On July 24, 1943, in Boston, he married Frances K. Brown. She survives with a daughter, Kathryn Davies of Yardley, Pa.; two sons, Edmund F. III of Graham, N.C., and Robert F. of Evanston, Ill.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Albert E. of Tewksbury, Mass. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of St. Matthew Cathedral.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
