SOUTH BEND - Charles A. Lannan, 74,
of Westfield, Ind., formerly of South Bend, died of natural
causes at 12:10 p.m. Friday in Carmel, Ind.
Mr. Lannan was a greeter at Wal-Mart,
Westfield and a salesman for Drewry's Brewery and Miller Brewing
of South Bend. He was born Oct. 24, 1921, in Bremen.
He married Rhea B. Thompson in Westfield.
She survives with four daughters, Sandra Smith of
Longview, Wash., Pamela Burke of Clearwater, Fla., Bonnie Callahan
of Westfield and Rebecca Lannan-Terry of Carmel; 17
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A son, Terry,
preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Our
Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carmel. Burial will be in Carmel
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Smith
Funeral Home, Carmel. Memorial contributions may be made to
American Heart Association.
