Helen R. Lang, 85, of N. Adams Road
in South Bend, Ind., passed away on Friday, March 26, in Saint
Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Lang was born on July 19,
1913, in Detroit, Mich., to Francis and Maria (Walter) Csernai.
She retired in 1979 after 25 years of service with White House
Manufacturing. On Sept. 14, 1946, in Fairfield, Ill., as Helen R.
Csernai, she married Walter Lang, who preceded her in death on
March 5, 1980. She is survived by three sons, Walter Lang II,
Robert (Patty) Lang and Terrence Lang all of South Bend; six
grandchildren, Michael (Lydia) Lang of South Bend, Diane (Ron) Babbs
of Grovertown, Ind., Richard Brittain of South Bend,
Walter Lang III of Chicago, Ill., Christina (Shawn) Lang and
Cristiana (Tim) Scott both of South Bend; seven great
grandchildren. A sister, Catherine Weigang and a brother,
Frank Csernai preceded her in death. Mrs. Lang was a member of
Holy Cross Catholic Church, and the Legion of Mary.
A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. on
Monday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive,
followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in Holly Cross
Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends
may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski
Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society, 535 W. Edison Road, Unit #6, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
