George M. Landuyt

NEW CARLISLE - George M. Landuyt, 76, of 28250 US 20, died Sunday afternoon in Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer. He also was retired from Uniroyal Plastics in Mishawaka and Studebaker Corporation. He was born Aug. 26, 1912 in Kewanee, Minn. and had lived most of his life in New Carlisle. On June 5, 1937 in Mishawaka, he married Mary A. Cooreman. She died July 7, 1973. He is survived by two daughter, Suszette Yakus of Rolling Prairie and Rebecca L. Roegiers of New Carlislke; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Florence DeWitte of Mishawaka. A son, Dennis G. preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Stanislaus-Kostka Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Hahn-DeVos Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
