SOUTH BEND - Helen L. Landry, 90, of
Orkney Court, died at 8:52 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical
Center. Mrs. Landry was a former employee of Robertson's
Department Store. She was born Nov. 7, 1905, in Plymouth and
lived in South Bend most of her life.
On Aug. 25, 1923, in St. Joseph, as Helen L.
Haag, she married Leo C. Landry. He died in 1969. She is
survived by two sisters, Erma Moffett of Bremen and Thelma
Pullman of Palatka, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews,
including LeRoy Collins, Robert Moffett and Pat Zakrocki,
all of South Bend. She was a member of Evangel Heights United
Methodist Church.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday in
Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Private burial will be in St.
Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call two hours
before services Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
