CONWAY, S.C. - Tyna Ruth Landgrebe, 53, of Conway, formerly of Lakeville and South Bend, Indiana, died on April 14, 2010 of ovarian cancer after a 21 month battle. Ms. Landgrebe was born May 13, 1956, in South Bend. Ms. Landgrebe is survived by one sister, Carolynn Landgrebe of South Bend; a brother, William(Linda) of Buchanan, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Ruth Auter of Dayton, OH and many devoted cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, William J. and mother, Zella and a sister, Linda Sue Woods. Ms. Landgrebe had worked as a copy editor at The Sun News in Myrtle Beach, S.C., prior to her illness and at the South Bend Tribune before that. She had also taught English and journalism at LaVille Jr-Sr H.S. in Lakeville, Knox Community H.S., in Knox, Indiana and Rensselaer Central H.S. In Rensselaer, Indiana. At Ms. Landgrebe's request, there will be no services and cremation has taken place at Myrtle Beach Funeral Home. Tyna requests friends and family remember her at a convenient time with your favorite foods, beverages and memories.
