SOUTH BEND - Marguerite E. ''Peg'' Lamont, 87, of Country Club Lane, died at 12:01 a.m. today in Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Lamont was born Sept. 15, 1907, in Cadillac, Mich., and lived in South Bend since 1938.

On Aug. 29, 1933, in Cadillac, as Marguerite Beckman, she married Kenneth Lamont. He survives with a daughter, Connie Troeger of South Bend; a son, Dennis R. of South Bend; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frederick S. Beckman of South Bend. She was a former member of Hearing & Speech Organization of South Bend, South Bend Art League, Morris Park Country Club and Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
