Mrs. Ethel Lake


Mrs. Ethel Lake, 69, of 139 W. Mishawaka, Ave., died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday in South Bend Osteopathic Hospital where she had been a patient for one week. She had lived in Three Oaks most of her life, moving to Mishawaka a few years ago. She was born in Corning, Ark. May 26, 1889, and came to Three Oaks in 1903. On May 20, 1906, she was married to Oliver LeRoy Lake, who died Nov. 9, 1930. Surviving are four sons, Henry and Leonard Lake, both of South Bend; Roy Lake, Appleton, Wis. and Robert Lake, Mishawaka; four daughters, Mrs. Harold Livengood, Bridgeman; Mrs. Guy Shriver South Bend, Mrs. George Freehling, three Oaks and Mrs. Gerald Hammon, Mishawaka; 26 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren' three sisters, Mrs. E. R. Price, Lakewood, Calif., Mrs. Frank Kitchell, Three Oaks and Mrs. Clifford Rogers, Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Roy Chevrie, South Bend. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in H. B. Connelly Funeral Home, Three Oaks. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, New buffalo. Friends may call in Connelly Funeral Home after Tuesday morning.
