GRANGER - Loren J. "Pete" Kline, 85, of Granger, IN,
went into the loving arms of Jesus at 7:14 pm Saturday, April 7,
2012. Pete was born on February 7, 1927, in Mishawaka, IN, to the
late Floyd and Miriam (Gayle) Kline. On October 4, 1975, in
Granger, IN, Pete was married to Carol (Gill), who survives. Also
surviving are their eight children, Loren (Linda) Kline of
Granger, IN, Linda (Michael) Bultema of Kalamazoo, MI, Becky
(Dave) Gondeck of Buchanan, MI, Annie (Danny) Mark of Fish Lake,
IN, Dennis Kline of Mishawaka, IN, Wendy (David) Stalcup of
Osceola, IN, Laurie (Tom Hawkins) Jewett of Osceola, IN, Angie
(Larry) Lucas of South Bend, IN; 22 grandchildren and 18
great-grandchildren. Pete was preceded in death by his first
wife, Dorothy; a son, Kevin Kline; and five siblings, Robert,
James, Gene Kline, Inez Reum and Dolores Mopping. Pete worked as
an insurance agent with Nation Wide Insurance for 40 years, and
was a board member for P-H-M for eight years. He was an avid
mushroom hunter, a member of Journey Church of Granger, and a
handyman to all. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday,
April 11, 2012, at 2:00 pm, with a gathering one hour prior in
Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN. The service
will conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to The Food Bank of Northern Indiana,
702 S. Chapin Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
