Joseph C. Klinedinst

Sept. 14, 1950 - May 18, 2000

Joseph Carl Klinedinst, 49, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 18.

Mr. Klinedinst was born on Sept. 14, 1950 to Richard C. Klinedinst and Catherine (Perri) Kline-dinst of Mish-awka, Ind. He resided in this area his entire life.

Joseph Klinedinst earned an associate degree from I.U.S.B. He was also the first area resident to receive a Master Gardener certificate from Purdue University. In the following two years while employed by White Farm Equipment, Joe traveled and demonstrated various garden commodities for the John Deere Shopping Expo. In 1984 he moved to the Federal Express Corporation. After five years he achieved the position of Station Manager in Elkhart. From 1981-1994 Joe and his family operated the first organically grown vegetable booth at the Farmer's Market in South Bend.

Joe had been employed since 1996 at Transpo as Director of Operations.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Klinedinst of Mishawaka, Ind., and his brother Richard Klinedinst of Mishawaka.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Catherine Klinedinst of Mishawaka; his brother, Ronald Klinedinst of Granger, Ind.; and his four children, Josiah and Jody Rausch of Walkerton, Emily Klinedinst of Mishawaka, Sasha (Klinedinst) Felgenhauer of Bremen, Ind., and Richard Klinedinst of North Liberty, Ind.; and a grandchild, Taylor Felgenhauer.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, in Nausbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton, Ind.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in St. Patrick Church, Walkerton.

Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Joseph Klinedinst, c/o St. Patrick Church and Marshall County Hospice.

Joe will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
