Rudolph V. Kertai (Mrs.).

Mrs. Lovella Bernice Kertai, 53, of 923 Sussex Dr., died at 520 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Hospital after a five-month illness.  She was born on Feb. 18, 1919, in Dugger, Ind., and had lived here 47 years, coming from Dugger.  As Lovella Everly, on May 10, 1937, she married Rudolph V. Kertai, who survives, along with her mother, Mrs. Mabel Burtis of Dugger; a son, Emery H. of Lakeville; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Kylewski of East Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Ann Whitesel of Lydick, eight grandchildren; two brothers, Chester and Donald Everly of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Violet Schlief of Dowagiac, and Mrs. Jean Riley of Edwardsburg.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and noon until 9 p.m. Friday in Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home.  Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Rev. Christopher Hinckley, pastor, officiating.  Interment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.  Mrs. Kertai was a member and past president of the Mothers of Marines, and a member of Unit 128, Mothers of World War II, and Chapter 1057, Moose Auxiliary.  A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

KERTAI - Services for Mrs. Lovella Bernice Kertai, 53, of 923 Sussex Dr., who died Wednesday, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist <Catholic> Church, with interment in Riverside Mausoleum.  Among her survivors is a daughter, Mrs. Betty Dylewski, of East Moline, Ill., and two brothers, Chester and Donald Everly, both of South Bend.
