WILLARD A. KELSEY

03/19/1925 - 10/08/2002

 

Willard A. Kelsey, 77, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died following an illness at 2:04 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Osceola Regional Medical Center, Kissimmee.

 

Mr. Kelsey was born March 19, 1925, in South Bend, to Ray W. and May VALE Kelsey, and was a lifetime area resident until moving to Florida in 1998.  On March 22, 1944 in South Bend, he married Eileen M. CRUTCHETT, who preceded him in death on January 18, 1998.

 

He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen M. (Charles) PORTER of South Bend and Patricia J. COOPER of Kissimmee; two sons, Robert A. (Holly) Kelsey of Indianapolis, and William M. (Karen) Kelsey of Glendale, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanore Louise DILTS of South Bend; and one brother, Harry R. (Betty) Kelsey of Temple, Texas.

 

Mr. Kelsey retired in 1987 from Turtle Creek Apartments where he was employed as an appliance and heating and cooling repairman.  He had also worked at McCaffery Electric and Colip Electric previously.  He was formerly a member of Calvary Baptist Church before moving to Florida.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday October 14, in Calvary Baptist Church,with Rev. David JENKINS officiating.  Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery . Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today, October 13, in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street.
