Sister Mary Lorentine CSC, 90, died in the motherhouse at St. Mary’s Convent Tuesday afternoon after a long illness. She was born Mary Kelly in Schenectady, NY, in 1870. She entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1885 and made her profession of final vows in 1892. She spent her entire community life at the Holy Cross Convent at the University of Notre Dame. Illness forced her retirement to the motherhouse in recent years.

A requiem high mass will be offered at 6 a.m. Thursday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlor.
