21, 1919 - Aug. 22, 2009MISHAWAKA - Helen M. Kelly, 89, died August 22nd of natural causes. Helen was a lifelong resident of Mishawaka, a loving mother, grandmother and aunt, and a caring friend. Helen cherished her friends, especially those from the Mishawaka High School class of 1938. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Lawrence Kelly, and then by her loving companion of 18 years, Richard Wachs of South Bend. Helen is survived by two daughters, Karol (Zane) Buxton of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Connie (Richard) Pride of Collierville, TN. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Kristin Buxton, Cari Pride and Lori Kissner; and by her great-grandchildren, Michaela and Kasey Kissner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whose friendship and devotion she treasured. A memorial service will be held in the First Presbyterian Church, 401 Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka, on Friday, August 28th, at 3:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mishawaka High School Alumni Association, in care of John Moore, 511 Rivers Edge Court, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
