George B. Kazmierczak

April 18, 1874 - November 11, 1961

 

George Kazmierczak, 87, of 421 S. Jackson St., died at 10:20am Saturday in St Joseph's Hospital.  He had been ill four weeks.

 

Born in Poland on April 18, 1874, Mrs. Kazmierczak had lived in South Bend 79 years.  On February 14, 1904, in St Hedwige's Catholic Church, he married Frances Jankowiak, who died on August 19, 1957.  Mr. Kazmierczak was a retired Studebaker-Packard Corp. employee.  Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Lottie Ogorek, Mrs. Lillian Radecki, Miss Bernice Kazmierczak, Mrs. Alice Dygulski and Mrs. Jean Andrysiak; four sons, Anthony, Michael, Theodore and Chester; a brother, Stanley; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Kruszewski, and 23 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, all of South Bend.

 

Friends may call after 3pm Sunday in the St Joseph Funeral Chapel.  Services will be at 9am Tuesday in St Adalbert's Church with Very Rev. Msgr. Ignatius Gapczynski, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Mr. Kazmierczak was a member of the St Stanislaus Society of St. Adalbert's Church.  The rosary will be recited at 7pm Sunday in the funeral home by Msgr. Gapczynski.

FUNERAL NOTES

Members of the Holy Name Society of St Adalbert's Catholic Church will recite the rosary at 7pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Chapel for George B. Kazmierczak, 431 S. Jackson St., who died Saturday.  Mr. Kazmierczak was one of the organizers of St. Adalbert's parish and a former member of the board of directors of the St Joseph Funeral Home. 

 

Services will be at 9am Tuesday in St Adalbert's Church and burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Eugene & Joseph Radecki, Jerome & Daryl Kazmierczak, All Kruszewski and Bert Wozniak.
