SOUTH BEND - Rose E. Kasprzak, 87, of
Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center, formerly of South
Warren Street, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's
Medical Center. Mrs. Kasprzak retired in 1970 from Bike Web Co.
She was born Oct. 22, 1907, in Poland and lived in South Bend for
85 years.
On Oct. 27, 1934, in South Bend, as Rose E. Karczewski,
she married Richard Kasprzak. He died Feb. 18, 1988. She is
survived by two daughters, Louise Livengood of Mishawaka
and Marcy Ann Cukrowicz of South Bend; a son, Frank R. of
South Bend; a grandchild; a sister, Helen Smith of South
Bend; and a brother, Larry Karczewski of South Bend. She was a
member of the Altar and Rosary Sodality of St. Adalbert's
Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the
church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call
from 6 to 9 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish
rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
