Edwin P. Kaplon (Jul 11, 1932 – Nov 22, 1986).
Services for Edwin P. Kaplon, 54, of 29350 Fillmore Road, who died Saturday as a result of a farm accident on his property, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, where the Ushers Club of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, will say the rosary at 7 p.m.
Mr. Kaplon was employed by Mohawk Flush Doors Inc. for five years. He was born July 11, 1932, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Mroz and Diana Lips, both of South Bend; a son, Dennis of Riverton, Wyo.; six grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Graczyk of South Bend; two brothers, Edmond of New Carlisle and Richard of Elkhart; and his mother, Irene Kaplon of New Carlisle. He was a member of the Breezers Club.
