Nancy J. Kaczmarek

January 13, 1931 – November 10, 2000

 

Nancy Jean Kaczmarek, 69, of Woodward Avenue in South Bend IN, passed away of natural causes on Friday, November 10, in Memorial Hospital.

 

Nancy was born on January 13, 1931, in South Bend, to the late Steve and Margaret (Buysse) Tomolak.  She was a librarian with Holy Cross Catholic School for twenty five years.  On September 5, 1953, as Nancy Tomolak, she married Edward Kaczmarek, who preceded her in death on January 18, 1991.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Keri J. Kaczmarek of South Bend and Lynn M. (Jeffrey C.) Pulaski of South Bend; a son, Douglas E. Kaczmarek of Elk Grove IL; three grandchildren, Allison, Colton and Eddie; a sister, Joann Kujawski of Mishawaka; a brother, Tom Tomolak of Canton MI; and by a sister-in-law, Anna Phillips of South Bend.

 

Mrs. Kaczmarek was a member of Holy Cross parish, the Altar Rosary Society, and was an avid card player.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 8pm on Monday, November 13, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish wake service will be held at 6pm.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am on Tuesday, November 14, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, with entombment to follow at Highland Cemetery.
