Casimera (Cassie) Jozwiak

January 19, 1919 – September 19, 1981

Mrs. Casimera (Cassie) Jozwiak, 62, of 601 S. Carlisle, died at 10:35am Saturday in Healthwin Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born on January 19, 1919 in South Bend, and lived here her entire life.  On September 5, 1936 in South Bend, as Casimera Lechtanski, she married Emil Jozwiak, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Pinkowski, of Granger; two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Roberts and Mrs. Helen Meszaros, both of South Bend and Mrs. Clara Czosnowski of Brownsburg IN; three brothers, Stanley and Casimir Lechtanski, both of South Bend and Joseph Leighton of South Bend.

Services will be at 10am Tuesday at St Adalbert’s Catholic Church with Rev. Eugene J. Kazmierczak, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. 

Friends may call from 4 to 9pm today and 7 to 9pm Monday at the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30pm Monday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Foundation.
