Thaddeus J. Jordanek

Thaddeus J. Jordanek, 66, of 605 N. Johnson St., died at 8:30am Sunday in Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Jordanek retired in 1983 from Torrington Co after 18 years service.

 

He was born October 13, 1919, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  On November 25, 1954, he married Leona Peczkowski, who survives.  Also surviving are three daughters, Dolores Wieczorkowski, Cynthia Kitt and Janine Celmer, all of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Janet Rivas of Miami; a son, Joseph of South Bend; four grandchildren; two sisters, Tillie Wiseman and Maxine Klimek, both of South Bend; and a brother, Ed of South Bend

 

Services will be at 10am Wednesday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church.  Burial will be at St Joseph Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 9pm Tuesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home where the Harvest House of ST Stanislaus will say a rosary at 3pm Tuesday and Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 553 will join the parish in a rosary at 7pm Tuesday.

 

He was a member of American Legion Pulaski Post 357, Veterans of Foreign Wars 8748, St Joseph Young Mens Society, St Vincent DePaul Society of the church, St Stanislaus choir and American Ex-Prisoners of War.  He was a prisoner of war during WW II.
