Carlene Jordan

Carlene Jordan, 61 years old, residing on N. Adams Street in South Bend, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2000, at the Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after a seven-month illness. Carlene was born on March 21, 1939, in South Bend, to the late Elson and Maxine (Lovejoy) Everett. She has been a lifelong area resident.
Carlene worked at Memorial Hospital as a Patient Care Extender for 33 years, touching many lives. She was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, IN. Carlene was a loving mother and grandmother, spoiling each and every grandchild. Her sense of humor, loving manner, and devotion to her grandchildren will be greatly missed, but appreciated by family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Jody Blake of Mishawaka; one son, Jeff (Vicki) Jordan of Katy, TX; five grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Gabrielle, all of Mishawaka, Conner and Brooke of Katy, TX; one great-grandson, Cayden; three sisters, Becky Hanusa of Durham, NC, Shelley Bush of Loveland, CO, and Jenny Albea of Etewah, NC; and one brother, Dennis Everett of South Bend.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2000, at St. Monica Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Rev. Robert Yast will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. today, December 27, at the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, where there will be a parish Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Contributions in memory of Carlene Jordan may be donated to the American Lung Association, 319 S. Main Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
