Ruby P. Jones

Ruby P. Jones, 68, of M-62, Edwardsburg, Mich., formerly of South Bend, passed away at 12:07 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Ruby was born on Oct. 29, 1927 in South Bend, Ind. and was a lifelong area resident.

On May 20, 1955, as Ruby P. Singleton, she married Harold Jones. He passed away Oct. 11, 1990.

Surviving are two daughters, Georganne Green of South Bend, Ind., Caroline Cornwall of Edwardsburg, Mich.; two step-daughters, Jean Hancher of Mishawaka, Ind., and Barb Hill of Milwaukee, Wis.; three sons, Dwight Jones of South Bend, Ind., Lanty Jones of Mishawaka, Ind. and Harold Dawson of Osceola, Ind.; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren;. four sisters, Dorothy M. Grenert, Delores Helfman, Clara M. Riggs, of South Bend, Ind., and Rose M. Grenert of Mishawaka, Ind.; six brothers, Charles N. Singleton of Dowagiac, Mich., Walter L. Singleton of Tennessee, Edward E. Singleton of Edwardsburg, Mich., and William V. Singleton, Jack R. Singleton and Ronald M. Singleton of South Bend, Ind. Two brothers, Lester and Kenneth and two sisters, Shirley Brown and Alice J. Cox preceded Ruby in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
