Mrs. Lula Mae Jones

February 24, 1921 – July 1, 1945

Mrs. Lula May Jones, aged 24, of 502 South Chapin Street, died of a heart attack at 11:30pm Sunday in the home of a friend at 2115 Kenwood Street.

She was born February 24, 1921, in Dell AR, and had lived in South Bend for two years.  In 1944 in Michigan she married Obie Jones, of South Bend, who survives.  Other survivors are her father, Joseph W. Jones, Eau Claire MI; one son, Joseph Louis Luster, Palmer MO; and brother, Willie D. Jones, Memphis TN; and one sister, Mrs. Annie Mae Johnson, of Dell.

Friends may call in the Woolridge Funeral Home Wednesday and until the funeral there at 2pm Thursday. Rev. J. R. Johnson, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
