SOUTH BEND – Ronald Richard Johnson, 48, of South Bend, passed away from natural causes at 7:00pm on Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Kendallville IN.
Ron was born on February 26, 1960, in Mishawaka, and had remained a lifelong area resident. Ron is survived by one daughter, Lauren Johnson of Hendersonville TN; one granddaughter, McKenzie Bozzille, his mother, Jean C. Johnson of South Bend; his father and stepmother, Raymond and Lenora Johnson of Cape Coral FL; a sister, Brenda Kay Johnson of South Bend; maternal grandfather Richard (the late Lucille) Scheibelhut of Mishawaka; sister-in-law, Cricket Johnson of Three Oaks MI; and his nephew, Bo Johnson of Three Oaks. Ron was preceded in death by his companion of many years, Dawn Jackson, who passed away on January 21, 2008. His brother, Randy “RJ” Johnson, also preceded him in death on July 20, 1999.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 6, 2008, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11am on Thursday. Contributions in memory of Ron Johnson may be donated to any transplant organization.

Johnson, father and stepmother, Raymond and Lenora Johnson; a sister, Brenda Kay Johnson, and maternal grandfather, Richard Scheibelhut. Memorial services will be 11am Thursday, March 6th, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services.
