Mrs. May V. Johnson

May 1, 1900 – April 24, 1974

Mrs. May Victoria Johnson, 73, of 1412 Ohio St., Walkerton, died at 2:10pm Wednesday in the LaPorte Hospital, following an extended illness.  She was a housewife.

She was born May 1, 1900, in Iowa, and had lived in Walkerton the past 22 years, coming from Chicago.  She was married December 11, 1920, in Alta IA to Carl Emil Johnson, who died June 2, 1972.  She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Bessie Gunnerson, of Alhambra CA; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Cable and Mrs. Benetta Kelleher, both of Walkerton; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 2pm Saturday in the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton.  Rev. James McGee, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, of Donaldson IN, of which she was a member, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton.  Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 to 9pm today and from 3 to 9pm Friday and until the time of services on Saturday.
