Leonard P. Jaworski

October 20, 1923 – February 15, 1981

 

JAWORSKI – Services for Leonard P. (Larry) Jaworski, 57, of 314 E. Angela, who died Sunday of an apparent heart attach while vacationing at San Padre Island TX, will be at 9:30am Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Rev. Albin L. Hosinski, C.S.C., associate pastor, will officiate.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Wednesday at the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7pm Wednesday.  Burial will be in St Joseph’s Cemetery.

 

He was employed as a material control supervisor at the AM General Corp. for sixteen years. 

 

Born on October 20, 1923, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life.  On July 6, 1945, in South Bend, he married Joan M. Markowski, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Judith Smith of South Bend; three sons, Robert and Ronald, both of South Bend, and James of Zanesville IN; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Pauwels of South Bend; and two brothers, Bernard and Chester Jaworski, both of South Bend.  He was a World War II veteran and a member of Pulaski Post 357 of the American Legion.
