Sister Mary Aurea Jaroszewski CSC

Sister Mary Aurea CSC, 68, died suddenly Monday morning at St. Mary's Convent. She was born Mary Anna Jaroszewski in South Bend in 1892. Her parents Mr. and Mrs.Partley Jaroszewski preceded her in death. She received her early education at St. Stanislaus School and at the Sisters of Holy Cross. During her community life, she was assigned to Woodland, Calif.; St. Mary of Wastach and St. Ann's Orphanage in Salt Lake City; and St. Teresa's Academy, Boise, Idaho. Since 1952 she has been assigned to St. Mary's Convent, Notre Dame.

 

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Max Palicki and Mrs. Andrew Pakicki; and four brothers Stanley, Edwin, Anthony and William, all of South Bend.

 

The requiem high mass will be offered in the Church of Loretto on the St. Mary's campus Tuesday at 3 p.m.. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening in the convent.
