Stella S.
Janowczyk, 83, of 1321 W. Poland St., died at 8:15pm Tuesday in St
Joseph’s Medical Center after an illness.
Mrs. Janowczyk
was born March 24, 1902, in South Bend. On July 29, 1939,
as Stella Kopinski, she married Edmund Janowczyk, who died in
1964. Surviving are a daughter, Maxine Bilinski of South
Bend; two grandchildren; and a sister, Verna Klosowski of South
Bend.
Services will be
at 9am Saturday in St Casimir’s Catholic Church. Burial
will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7
to9pm Thursday and 2 to 9pm Friday in Kaniewski & Sons
Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be recited at 7:30pm
Friday. Members of the Senior Citizens Club will recite the
rosary at 2:30pm Friday. Mrs. Janowczyk was a member of the
Senior Citizens Club, the Adoration Society and the Ladies Civic
Club.
