Daniel F. Janizak

January 17, 1928 – February 9, 1996

Daniel F. Janizak, 68, of Miami Street, died at 4:58pm Friday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes.  Mr. Janizak retired as a sales agent for Amoco Oil Co after which he became operations manager for Berreth Oil Co, Mishawaka.

He was born January 17, 1928, in South Bend.  On March 31, 1951, in Wichita Falls TX, he married Ruth Kahre.  She survives with two daughters, Arlene Holt and Darlene Megyese, both of South Bend; three grandsons; three sisters, Mary Ann Dabros and Loretta Zmyslo, both of South Bend and Rita Ruszkowski of Naperville IL; and a brother, Joseph Janiszczak of South Bend.  He was a member of Bremen Sky Knights and served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

Memorial services will be at 2pm Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N William St.  Cremation will take place, with burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Friends may call from noon until services Monday in the funeral home.
