Mrs. Bessie Jakubowicz (Jacobs)

September 7, 1892 – June 21, 1962

Mrs. Bessie Jakubowicz, 69, of 1650 N Olive St., died at 2:55am today in St Joseph's Hospital, after a six week illness.

Born September 7, 1892, in Chicago, she was married there September 1, 1920 to her husband, Stanley, who died October 21, 1955.  She is survived by one daughter, Mr. Lorraine Jagodzinski, South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Kirstein and Mrs. Sylvester Burns of Chicago; and two brothers, Frank and Benedict Sanders, of Chicago.

Friends may call after 6pm Saturday in the St Joseph Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 10am Monday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Rev. Walter Higgins, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in the St Joseph Cemetery.  Mrs. Jakubowicz was a member of the Royal Neighbors of Chicago and the Rosary Society of St Adalbert's Catholic Church.
