Irene W. Jackson

February 1, 1912 – February 1, 1993

Irene W. Jackson, 81, of Meridian Nursing Center-River Park, died at 4:45pm today in the nursing center.  Mrs. Jackson was a former employee of Studebaker Corp and Betty's Tot Shop.

She was born February 1, 1912, in South Bend and was a lifelong local resident.  In 1959, in South Bend, as Irene Troeger, she married Charles Jackson.  He died in 1963.  Surviving are a stepson, Steve of Granger; a grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.  She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11am Wednesday in the church.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may cal from 4 to 8pm Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
