BREMEN — Roscoe Junior Geyer, 78, of Sebring, Fla., formerly of Bremen, died Friday in Bay Pines VA Hospital, Seminole, Fla., after an illness. Survivors include his wife, Mary L.; a daughter, Linda Sherfey; two sons, Mark D. of Bedford, Ind., and Gregory A. of Odon, Ind.; and a sister, Miriam Nifong of Bremen. Services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Mishler Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of services.

Roscoe J. Geyer (April 11, 1922 - December 01, 2000)

Roscoe Junior Geyer, 78, of Sebring, FL, passed away at 6:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, at the Bay Pines VA Hospital.  He was born on April 11, 1922, in St. Joseph County, Indiana, to Roscoe C. and Emma (VonBergon) Geyer.  He attended Madison Township School.  Roscoe was a former owner of Cresthaven Memory Gardens for over 30 years.  He was also a W. W. II Veteran, and was a member of:  Past County Councilman (Lawrence Co.), Past Bedford Kiwanis President, Past President of the Indiana Cemetery Assoc., Disabled American Veterans, Veteran of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Bedford, Bedford Elk's Lodge, Masonic Lodge No. 142 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, York Rite, Bedford, Royal Order of Scotland, Murat Temple, Indianapolis, La Or Ma Shrine Club, Past President of Highland Shrine Club. 

Roscoe married Mary L. Smith on September 7th, 1946.  Roscoe also held his Commerical Pilot License and loved to fly his Piper Comanche.  His favorite pastimes were:  Spending time with his family, flying, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary L. (Smith) Geyer; 1 daughter, Mrs. Solomon "Linda" Sherfey of Portsmouth, VA; 2 sons, Mark D. Geyer of Bedford, Ind., Gregory A. Geyer of Odon, Ind., 1 sister, Mrs. Burl "Miriam" Nifong of Bremen; 3 Granddaughters, Mrs. Richard "Joanna" Calhoon, Mrs. Steve "Jennifer" Grissom, Mrs. Darren "Amanda" Hutton; 2 Grandsons, Brian Geyer and Matthew Geyer; 3 Step-Grandsons, Nickolas Schnarr, Dustin Schnarr and Jordan Schnarr; 7 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Step-great Grandchildren.  Preceded by his parents; Stepmother, Ardath Finney Geyer; and 3 brothers, Don Geyer, Theodore Geyer and Keith Geyer.
