SOUTH BEND — Mr. Robert S. "Bubba" Geyer, 45, of Roxbury Plaza, South Bend, passed away at 5 a.m. Thursday Sept. 27, in Memorial Hospital after an apparent heart attack. Robert was born on September 29, 1955, in South Bend and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area.

At the time of his death, he was employed at A & M Transfer in North Liberty and previously worked for many years at Automatic Molded Plastics in South Bend.

Mr. Geyer is survived by his father, James E. Geyer and step-mother, Barbara A. Geyer, both of Niles; two brothers, Michael E. Geyer of South Bend and Patrick E. (Sharon) Geyer, of San Diego, Calif.; a stepsister, Theresa A. (Tim) Crawford of Niles, MI; his former wife and companion, Linda K. Geyer of South Bend. Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Irene T. Geyer in 1966.

Mr. Geyer was a graduate of Washington High School and attended the University of Notre Dame for one year.

Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, in Hanley & Sons "Southwest C hapel" Funeral Home located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23 South Bend. Cremation will take place and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

A Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, in the funeral home with Ft. Terry Place of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church officiating.

The family request that all memorial contributions be made to: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3526 St. John's Way, South Bend, IN 46628 or to the Pet Refuge, 2300 West 6th St., Mishawaka, IN 46544. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extend deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Geyer family.
