GERENCSER – Funeral services for Joseph A. Gerencser, 62, of 2251 Kern Rd., who died Thursday after a two-month illness, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Rev. Thomas E. Doriot, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. He was born Aug. 7, 1906, in Hungary. On Sept. 5, 1932, he married Anna Papp, who survived. Also surviving are a son, Joseph A. Jr., of Milford; his mother Mrs. Anna Gerencser, of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; five brothers, Michael, Fred, Alex and Steve, all of South Bend, and Julius of Elwood; and a sister, Mrs. Leon Van Wanzeele, of South Bend. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Nemeth Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Saturday. He was a member of Woodmen of the World.
