Sister Mary Mark CSC, 92, a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, from 1908 to 1920, died Sunday night in Saint Mary’s Convent after an extended illness. As Sophia Gegg she was born in 1872 in Lawrenceton, Mo. She received her early education in Lancaster, Pa., entering the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1894. She received the habit in 1895 and made her final profession of vows in 1900. During her community life she was stationed at St. John’s Hospital, Anderson, Ind.; Mount Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Ohio; Our Saviour’s Hospital, Jacksonville, Ill.; and Baltimore, Md.

A requiem high mass will be offered in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto on St. Mary’s campus at 6 a.m. Tuesday with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, also on the campus.
