Oct. 28,1921 - May 23, 2010MISHAWAKA - Marilyn O. Gay, 88, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010, in her residence with her loving family at her bedside. Marilyn was born on October 28, 1921, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late George E. Seybold and Grace M. (Phillips) Seybold. As the former Marilyn O. Seybold, she married George E. Gay on March 9, 1946, at the Grace Bible Chapel in Mishawaka, IN. George and Marilyn shared 46 wonderful years of marriage together. George passed away on February 4, 1992. Survivors include her three daughters, Anna (Wayne) Guikema, Linda (Gary) Person of Mishawaka and Pam (Denny) Jewett of Osceola; and a son, Edward (Dana) Gay of Mishawaka. Marilyn was a loving and caring grandmother to six grandchildren, David (Robin) Person, Andrew (Sara) Jewett, Angela (Daniel) Jewett Browning, Lindsey (Tony) Jewett Kile, Timothy Guikema and Shelby Gay; and was a great- grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Jean R. Seybold of Mishawaka. Marilyn graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1938. Marilyn enjoyed sewing, reading and traveling. Marilyn was a wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished her family most of all. Marilyn was also a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Osceola, IN. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 27, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, in the funeral home, with Pastor Greg Serafino officiating. Burial will follow the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
